5Easy to use and not expensive  Jul 06, 2011 By Ollie
When we started using our new pool and spa I was using a test kit that required adding various drops into water samples. That worked fine for me. Then I noticed the guy who was doing the initial pool service for the first 4-6 weeks of pool operation used only this type of test strip so I thought I'd give them a try. They are much easier to use, just a quick dip in the water and then 15 or so seconds to compare the results to the chart on the bottle. I've had consistent results with the pool and spa (separate) and the water has been fine, easy to maintain. I've been told it's a good idea to ocassionally take a sample of water to a local pool supply company for more thorough testing, but for 95% of the time these strips do the job and I recommend them.

5Quick Accurate-ish Check  Jul 28, 2011 By Natter
I keep these strips on hand for quick checks to see if any of my recent chemistry modifications have had the intended effect. As others have noted, local pool service crews typically keep these on hand -- ours only uses the Aquacheck. I originally purchased my strips through the local pool supply store, but with the local cost of $35, I'm very happy to find them offered here at half the cost. I'd love to continue supporting the mom&pop joints, but not at double the cost.

I usually test my water twice weekly with the Taylor 2006 kit for precision, and at least once daily with the Aquacheck strips -- when results are compared, the Aquacheck has usually been pretty spot-on; there have been occasional differences for pH and total chlorine, but not bad enough to discontinue their use (example: pH 7.6 on Taylor, 7.4 on test strip). It's much easier (and affordable) testing total alkalinity and CYA with the strips, that's for sure.

Tips: store in a cool dry place. I accidentally left the container in the >100-degree sun all day and its unique way of complaining is by producing really wonky test results. Also, when testing the pool after making adjustments to the chlorine feeder, don't take your test sample in the line of fire from water-return jets, unless you like false readings.

5Easy way to maintain your pool & spa  Jan 10, 2012 By Seamus Grace "Seamus III"
These testing strips are the best you can find on the market for the price, they are more accurate than having your pool water tested at Pinch A Penny or other pool stores. These test strips make it extremely easy to maintain your pool and spa right from home..

5Aquachek Test strips  Dec 18, 2011 By R. Bryant "CAB"
Fast & easy to use, comparison colors on bottle make readings easy to determine. Price was the lowest found anywhere

5A simpler easier world.  Sep 20, 2011 By P. A. Morency "Pour Quoi Pas"
When I started looking at replacing an old Taylor pool testing kit with a new one, the price of an all inclusive kit made me look further. I'm very pleased with the Aquachek strips, they are faster to use, much more convenient, cheaper and reliable readings as far as my comparative testing has proved. They are great!!
